Seeking a Grant

The Charles Stewart Mott Foundation is a private foundation based in Flint, Michigan.

Grants from the Foundation are made in four different programs: Civil Society, Environment, Flint Area and Pathways Out of Poverty.

Each of our four programs has funding priorities that are detailed on this site. In addition, the Foundation has established application procedures for organizations that wish to submit a letter of inquiry or grant proposal.

We strongly encourage organizations seeking funding from the Foundation to examine in detail all guidelines and application information. The index below provides links to the content grantseekers should review. Once the information has been reviewed, a letter of inquiry can be submitted online.
